Meet Elena
Piano Teacher
Elena is a dedicated piano teacher with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for nurturing musical understanding in her students. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Education (Piano) from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music (2020–2024) and is currently completing a Master of Education at Monash University.
Elena has been recognised for her musical excellence through several prestigious awards, including First Prize at the Baiyu Lan International Music Competition, Second Prize at the Kawai Asian Piano Competition, and an Outstanding Graduation Certificate from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. She also holds a High School Music Teacher Qualification Certificate in China.
As a teacher, Elena believes that music education goes far beyond pressing keys. Her goal is to help students truly understand music, develop a deep love for it, and grow into expressive, thoughtful musicians. She places strong emphasis on musicality, technique, and meaningful practice, guiding students to enjoy both the learning process and their progress.
Elena is passionate about the many benefits of learning instruments such as piano and violin. She believes music education enhances concentration, memory, problem-solving skills, patience, perseverance, and creativity, while also allowing students to express emotions and connect with different cultures through classical and contemporary repertoire.
Her favourite works include Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique” and Schumann’s “Widmung”, reflecting her love for expressive and emotionally rich music.
